Heating Systems

A heating system is a mechanism for maintaining temperatures at an acceptable level; by using thermal energy within the office, room or other dwelling. Often part of an HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) system. A heating system may be a central heating system or distributed.

What is Air makeup Unit

A larger air makeup handler that conditions 100% outside air, and no recirculated air, is known as a makeup air unit (MAU). An air handler designed for outdoor use, typically on roofs, is known as a packaged unit (PU) or rooftop unit (RTU).

Gas-Fired rooftops

QMS recommended models RT and PV indirect fired make-up air systems are available in multiple configurations and vary depending on the specific application. Standard and High CFM blower cabinets are designed to be mounted on a common heavy duty skid rail with up to three outdoor gas-fired duct furnaces. Other cabinets include filtration cabinets, downturn plenums, coil cabinets with factory installed coils and Evaporative coolers.

Multiple factory installed gas and air controls are available including DDC control packages, electronic stage controllers, building pressurization controllers, and a variety of mixed air controllers.

Duct furnaces are CSA approved. The Packaged unit is certified.

Electric heater

An electric heater is an electrical device that converts electric current to heat. The heating element inside every electric heater is an electrical resistor, and works on the principle of Joule heating: an electric current passing through a resistor will convert hat electrical energy into heat energy.

Boiler Heater

Boilers heat water, and provide either hot water or steam for heating. Steam is distributed via pipes to steam radiators, and hot water can be distributed via baseboard radiators or radiant floor systems, or can heat air via a coil.

Humidifier

A humidifier is a device that increases humidity (moisture) in a single room or an entire building. Point-of- use humidifiers are commonly used to humidify a single room, while whole-rooms of area or furnace humidifiers, which connect to HVAC system, provide humidity to the entire commercial places.
